This is the first step in any data processing project. The conversion department is responsible for verifying file quantities and data integrity as soon as a file is received. If a file received does not match your input specifications or maybe something just does not look right such as unexpected data, you are notified immediately. All input files require a file layout including field lengths, quantities, and field descriptions if applicable.
